Having first opened its doors in the early 1930s, the historic State Theatre is North Mississippi's oldest music and performing arts venue of its kind, and is considered to be one of the South's premier music venues.

     State Theatre is fully equipped with state-of-the-art sound and light production, two stages, a movie theatre-sized big-screen TV, the largest outdoor balcony in the Golden Triangle overlooking beautiful Main Street / Downtown Starkville, an indoor VIP balcony lounge overlooking the main stage, the New State Room Sports Bar Upstairs, a private ballroom, and the now open Dawg Wingz at State Theatre restaurant.
